The concept of A Corner of England began in September 2002 on beautiful Beach Drive in downtown St. Petersburg. After five years there we relocated to our present location on Central Avenue where we acquired Festive Occasions, an Invitation and gift that had been in existence for over twenty two years. Our tearoom made a lovely addition, and we now have A Corner of England – Festive Occasions, offering our customers a unique entity on re-emerging Central Avenue. Here time stands still, its “olde worlde” atmosphere, with tables set with fine English china, antique sterling silver place settings over lace tablecloths bring back memories of Grandmothers sitting room.

Owned and operated by the Halawy family who hail from Shropshire, England, The Corner of England is as authentic a British style Tearoom restaurant as you will find this side of the pond, selling many British food items, gifts and fine china. Here you will also find Invitations for all occasions to suit every budget and event, from luxury wedding invitations to business stationary, napkin printing, caligraphy and personalization.

The food........awesome!....The High tea is to dine for. It has been compared to Claridges, and Browns in London, and the Empress Tea room in Victoria, BC. English China plates on silver tiers, stacked with traditional delicious goodies. We a;so have a wonderful luncheon menu with lots of traditional British fayre. Our legendary delicate crumbly scones , served with Jam and Devon Cream, are all served with unlimited pots of our wonderful tea. Our menu items are all are exceptional value for money. We even strive to serve as many organic items as we possibly can.

Our exceptional Organic tea has made a name for itself. Directly imported from Assam India, there is none better and certainly non fresher...our line includes over twenty different flavors of tea’s and tisanes, we are always searching for new and exciting flavors. We only sell loose tea, you will not find a teabag in the house, One of our most popular tea is what is considered the “Emperor’s Tea, “White Teas”...probably the most health providing tea in the world, four times the Cancer preventing antioxidants of green tea –and it has the least caffeine of all teas...

A Corner of England is open from 11:00 to 6:00 Monday-Saturday, kitchen is close at 5:00. Sunday can be reserved for parties. An adjoining room can be made available for all your party needs, Birthdays, wedding, showers...clubs, we specially love to entertain the “Red Hats”. And it is a perfect place for your next business luncheon, or networking event. We will happily do outside catering for you too...
